How much fun can one girl have? I am so privileged to have been included in the new issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine . . . this is the cover and the first page of the article. My little wall quilt, "All Snowed In" is on page 66 . . . is it time to decorate for Christmas yet?

Wish I had taken some photos at Quilter's Station in Lee's Summit but it was so hectic I never got my camera out. Darling Rita (Quilter's Station's shopkeeper) was so generous to let me have the location photos for a new book at her wonderful shop! She has so many great props and made us feel sooooooo welcome. What a treat! If you ever have the opportunity to visit her you will be VERY glad you did . . . so many fabrics, every notion you could want, great wool and books & patterns. SOOOOO MUCH FUN! I'm only sorry that I didn't take some photos to share with you.
Yippee . . . we have a title . . . A Bird in Hand . . . and a sub-title . . . . folk art projects inspired by our feathered friends . . . . soooooo exciting! There is so much more to make it happen than I ever imagined - it's scheduled to be out in February!

today was photo day - two new patterns for Fall Quilt Market {Oct 10-12 eeeeekkkkk} still stitching 16/7 {hmmm 24/7 if only I didn't need to eat & sleep & cook & clean} Kansas City Star Book projects - that photo shoot is scheduled for Oct 20 & 21.

These are a few new projects I'm working on right now . . . they will be part of a new book that I am really excited about. It's going to be published by the Kansas City Star - Quilt Book Division - how lucky can one girl be? It's set to be released in Feb . . . . so there isn't much time to sleep for the next few months. I've been thinking Bob (my darling cowboy husband) should learn to stitch . . . what do you think? hmmmm I was so willing to cowgirl up . . . seems like a great trade off to me. ArtUnraveled was here in the Phoenix area this past week and I was able to take two classes. Last Thursday I took a class to learn a "green" method of etching metal from Sherri Haab. Very cool . . . it will come in very handy for jewelry making and for working with PMC (Precious Metal Clay). So much nicer to work with than the ferric acid I have used before.
